For a very long time, I’ve been walking past this spot. I have never had a burrito in Toronto, so I finally walked through the doors of Bar Burrito. It’s a simple place, but you can tell immediately that everything you need is right here. I should mention that before I even stepped in here, I read some Google reviews, which were mixed, but tended more towards a good experience, which is what convinced me to visit.

A couple of the reviews I had seen said the staff weren’t helpful, or just downright unprofessional. This was not my experience. They were not just professional, but they were pleasant, courteous and even patient, as this was my first time. They answered all my questions and guided me through the process of placing the order. This would have been hard for them to do patiently at 9:30 PM at night, but they were extremely kind to me.

They had a wide variety of items here. There are different sizes (I’m a big boy, so I went for the large one), there are about 6 to 7 protein options including beef, chicken, and fish, and there are a lot of fresh vegetables as fillings. They also give the option to use either whole wheat or plain tortilla wraps. There are also a lot of sauces that you can choose from with different levels of spiciness. They also give the option to crush some tortilla chips to give that extra crunch, and then it is lightly toasted in a press. I was also grateful to pay using Google Pay, which was very convenient.

It was so delicious and so fresh. I enjoyed it so much. It was a lot of food, but was easy to eat. I felt like I could eat more than one, but not really a smart move for the waistline. It was so satisfying. My only ‘regret’ was that I hadn’t gone for a more spicy sauce. Overall, the experience was so pleasant, and I have gone back there multiple times since that first time. I would absolutely recommend it.
